WORKSHOPS
SONGWRITING · MUSIC PRODUCTION · MUSIC FOR WELLBEING
Friendly, inclusive and collaborative music workshops for schools, charities, community groups, organisations and individuals.
Whether people already make music or have never written a song before, every session creates space to explore ideas, learn new skills and experience the connection that comes from making music together.
Making Music Together
I’ve delivered songwriting, music production and music-for-wellbeing sessions to people of different ages, backgrounds and levels of experience—from young people and GCSE students to community groups and older adults.
Every workshop is shaped around the people taking part. We begin by exploring their relationship with music: the songs they love, the artists they listen to and the styles that mean something to them.
From there, we might break down how a favourite song works, explore its instruments and structure, experiment with lyrics and melody, or use music technology to begin building something completely new.
The process is always welcoming, supportive and collaborative. People can contribute by writing, singing, playing an instrument, suggesting ideas or simply being part of the creative process. There is no pressure to perform and no previous musical experience is needed.
“What I love most is creating something that didn’t exist before and seeing everyone realise they helped make it happen.”
— GARETH LEWIS
